James Robbins is co-founder of Dallas Mindfulness Practice and has over 15 years experience in meditation, dream practice and interpersonal issues. His book, Build a Better Buddha, distills the core teachings of both traditional and non-traditional paths to self-actualization and liberation.
In his seminar he will begin with an explanation of the Buddhist tradition and then blend in the Western view of meditation and contemplation. Out of this come a few simple truths common to all paths of realization.

Students will explore the benefits and purposes of prayer, seek methods for deepening their personal prayer lives, and develop credos surrounding their prayer lives.

The Beatitudes
8 Week Sunday Series
May 2 - June 20
The series will focus on the "begin attitudes" of mind that Jesus taught in his famous Sermon on the Mount. The Beatitudes are a general summation of the whole religion of Jesus. These statements are simple, direct and practical. Each Beatitude begins with the word "blessed" which is a one word definition of all the good that will come to you if you understand and live by these amazing attitudes of Being. Join us as we explore one of the Beatitudes each week learning how to apply it in our lives.

Book Study
The New Revelations

This class will provide us with the tools to move forward, to pull ourselves out of despair, lifting the whole human race to a new expression of its grandest vision. Based on the book by Neale Donald Walsh, we will open our hearts and minds to new understanding of building together a new world of peace and harmony based on new beliefs about God and life.

Throughout history, man has pursued a dream – the dream of Freedom. Join us for this powerful presentation that celebrates this land that we love through traditional favorites and original songs sounding a clarion call to return to the spiritual roots upon which our country was founded.

Membership 101
Sunday, July 11, Noon - 2 pm
If you would like to know more about Unity principles and beliefs and about the programs and services this church has to offer, this is the class to attend. The membership class is open to everyone and is a prerequisite for those individuals wishing to be recognized as members. Those choosing to become members will be recognized during either the 9 or 10:30 am services on Sunday, July 18. The Membership class is offered three times per year.

Lights, Camera, Action
Movie Nights

Healing Service

Rev. Carol along with our Care Team will lead this hour of healing and transformation. Each participant will have an opportunity to experience the "Love Wash" during this powerful service. Join us as we release, forgive and embrace the healing power of Spirit. Youth program provided during the same hour.

Bad Girls in the Bible
4 Week Sunday Series
Join us as we explore women of the Bible such as the woman at the well, Rahab, Michal, and the sinful woman. Each woman represents an aspect in consciousness, and from her story we can learn about ourselves whether male or female.

In this course, the students will be encouraged to take a more in-depth look at their personal prayer lives through the study of Myrtle Fillmore’s Healing Letters, as well as other writings from Unity leaders.
